Winter Sunshine. Painted in 1949. Oil on board. Private Collection.
Parrish was particularly fond of the light that sunshine would bring to newly fallen snow. The house and barn depicted here belonged to a nearby neighbor. This painting was used by the Brown & Bigelow Publishing Company as a Christmas card for the year 1958 under the title “A Christmas Morning”.
The movie script about the life of MAXFIELD PARRISH which has been a goal in my life is finally finished. Professional screen writer Jalynn Venis and I cooperated to bring this story to life. The script is based on two of my books: “The Masterworks” and the “The Secret Letters”. We are now talking with producers. STAY TUNED!
